Guys, this really bites! I started getting sick last Thursday (8/31) and tested negative on Friday for COVID but then positive for COVID on Saturday. This is my first time having it. I still have symptoms and retested last night (9/7). I am still POSITIVE!!! I can’t open up this weekend. I’ve been isolating myself so I don’t infect anyone. I cannot risk getting any of you sick. Please don’t forget me!!! I’m thinking I’ll test negative soon since it is now a week since I’ve been sick. I’m almost better, probably at 85%. I have a lot of new wares from local artists that I was in the middle of inventorying when I got sick and had to stop because I don’t want my germs all over things. But there are some really cool new stained glass pieces from SHill Creations Studio, new books from DreamPunk Press, new earrings from Butterfly Babe, new pins and stickers from PortfoliMo - MxKnowitall, and of course, some new Squishables. Things are a bit of a blur so I hope I didn’t leave anyone out! Hope to see you soon! 🖤

This is really frustrating because it is probably a great weekend for sales with the holiday coming up. But, this is how things go when it is just you running a business and doing it all. Sometimes, things happen.

Boo!! Hey, everyone, woke up feeling pretty awful and cannot open up today. I took a COVID test and it was negative. I think maybe I picked something up when I went into work for my regular job this week. We had a lot of folks come into town after they were at a big conference and lots of hugs ensued. I haven’t been sick in awhile. I’m going to lie down and get some rest.

I didn’t realize that I wasn’t allowed to drive or sign legal contracts. I guess I could be loopy and accidentally give everything away. Boo!! I should be open regular hours this weekend!

So Aries Apothecary, LLC and I often have customers come in thinking we are the other’s business. I get asked for incense a lot. Well, now we really ARE going to confuse you! Since Aries cannot open yet to customers, they have been doing a fire sale in front of their shop for damaged items. Now, you can get some of their most commonly sold undamaged items inside my shop for the time being. I have setup a separate register for purchases of their products that go into their bank account. Right now, I have their Dragon’s Blood and White Sage smudge sticks for you to buy. I can’t answer any of your metaphysical questions, but I can at least sell some of their wares for them. They will be bringing over some more items tomorrow. If you are buying stuff from my shop I will check you out as normal. If any items are of their goodies, I will use the special register I set up out front. So…come get your smudge on!!!! 🖤

20% OFF BOOK SALE!!!! Yes, we are open! The fire at Aries caused a lot of smoke on my side, but we have been open regular hours and the smoke smell is very faint; almost gone. However, I did notice the books I had against the wall were all jumbled from I’m assuming the fire dept checking the wall to see if the fire came through. I’ve been rearranging and wiping them off. The covers of a handful were a tad sooty. So…good news for book lovers…all books are going to be 20% off for a bit. This excludes the books by local authors and publishers and the kids books. Eh, who knows, maybe I’ll discount the children’s books. I have books about artists, art techniques, new age, bibles, Sherlock Holmes, Poe, a few graphic novels, Batman, LOTR, nature, medical..Gosh, a lot of different subjects. Because there was a fire that caused significant damage inside Aries Apothecary, LLC, they are having a literal fire sale with damaged inventory out front for sale. No, you cannot go inside because it is an active work zone and the city needs to sign off before that can happen. It isn’t ready for people to go in; the fire just happened Saturday. Yes, Quixotic Arts is open regular hours, with a lovely campfire smell as some have called it. Come on out and support and shop local!

As I mentioned in my previous post, we had a fire and @aries_apothecary has had a big impact with inventory. They are having a literal fire sale in front of our shops because customers are not allowed inside her space due to the damage. A lot of the inventory are things that can be washed or simply cleaned up. Come on out and support local.
